It's b-side was a remake of the title track of the preceding album Manifesto. In 1980, the first single from Flesh + Blood was released. When Manifesto first appeared on CD, it was the disco version on the album and that largely continued on later re-releases and remasters, leaving the original album version quite rare. Not long after the success of the disco version in the charts, it started to replace the rock versions on album pressings. There's no way the rock version would have been a bigger hit. I prefer the rock version but they made the right choice in re-recording it for the singles charts. This was released as the 3rd single from the album and reached UK no. The re-recorded version was done in the disco style. The original album version is known as the rock version. The band totally re-recorded the track Angel Eyes. There was a re-recorded slower version of the song called Trash 2 on the b-side.Īfter the 2nd single, Dance Away (in remixed and edited form) was a huge hit. The first single from the album was Trash. Back on the topic of Roxy Music I've just remembered the first 3 songs from the 1979 album Manifesto were all re-imagined.
